Objective - Monthly Craft

Who gets enough crafting in their lives? None of us, that's right! So, each month we will take a turn hosting a craft night/day in our homes. When it is your month, you get to propose a couple of ideas and the group gets to vote on which one we do. Proposals should be accompanied by estimated costs so that can be taken into account in the vote. Monies for the craft need to be given in advance to the host so they can purchase supplies. This blog is not private, so be sure not to post info you don't want available to the public! Please feel free to invite anyone you think might be interested.

January Craft

After much fantasizing, I am finally getting around to setting up a monthly craft group. And I thought, since Valentine's Day will be upon us before we know it, why not start with a Valentine's craft. Here are my two ideas:

1 - Valentine's Cans (imagine these in Valentine's colors, etc) - I am estimating the cost of a completed quart-sized can at $5 each.
FANCY CAN....Floral Stripe....black, green, pink

2 - Valentine's Headbands (okay, do it again - imagine Valentine's colors. These could also be done just as pins instead of headbands) - I am estimating the cost of these at about $1.50 each.

So now, we just need to decide which one (or I suppose we could do both, they aren't too hard) to do. Please cast your vote by commenting. In order to get all supplies on time, votes should be cast by Friday, Jan 7th. At that point I will post letting everyone know which one we are doing, and I will need to get a count of who wants what and monies to purchase with by Monday, Jan 10th. Then we will get together at my house on Thursday, Jan 20th to make the project. We can decide whether daytime or evening (or both) works best. So, comment away and let the fun begin!
